Budapest: Castle Hill - excess of historic buildings.

My house in Budapest, My, my hidden treasure chest … (© GEORGE EZRA "Budapest") Having lived for two years in Budapest we were lucky enough to be able to discover this truly superb city sitting on the Danube, unbothered by tour groups. And one of the (many) must sees when visiting Budapest is most certainly Castle Hill. Take the funicular up to the hill from Clark Ádám tér, at the Buda end of the Chain Bridge and prepare to be amazed. Castle Hill is packed and overflowing with historic buildings and will offer you splendid vistas on Budapest.

Take your time wandering the crooked streets; admire the fabulous architecture and the breathtaking panorama of Pest. The best look over Pest you will get from Fisherman’s Bastion!

The Royal Palace (Buda Castle); Eugene of Savoy monument, Matthias Fountain, Sandor Palace, Trinity Square, Former Town Hall, (Regi Budai Varoshaza) Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, ... the list just goes on and on…
